What we are
A voluntary association of neighbors
Open to every resident and property owner in Campbell Woods, whether you own or rent.
A way to get things organized
Events, cleanups, safety, plantings, projects that need more than one household or person to pull off.
A single voice to the city and county
An organized neighborhood gets returned calls. We take positions on issues that affect Campbell Woods.
A source of information
Meeting notices, the newsletter (electronic and paper delivered), and the documents on this site all in one place.
What we are not
NOT a mandatory organization
Membership and annual dues are completely voluntary, unlike an HOA where joining and paying fees is a legal requirement of buying the home.
NOT a direct rule-maker
It cannot invent new neighborhood rules, paint color restrictions, or architectural guidelines on a whim.
NOT a paid staff
The board and committees are 100% uncompensated neighborhood volunteers, not hired employees or a professional management company.
NOT a concierge service
It is not a group that will clean up every piece of trash, fix every pothole, or solve every neighborhood issue without community participation.
How it works
Who can join
Every resident and property owner in Campbell Woods. A household is one dwelling counted once no matter how many adults live there.
Owners who live elsewhere are eligible, and are counted separately from a tenant in the same property.
How we decide
One vote per member household in good standing. Members vote in person or remotely, but no proxies or absentee ballots, so everyone hears the discussion before voting.
Officers are elected at the annual meeting (July) and serve one-year terms.
Where the money goes
Dues fund events, beautification, and communications. Funds sit in an association account with two authorized signers, and the Treasurer reports to the membership at least once a year.
The books are open to any member on request.
All of this is spelled out in the bylaws of the organization, adopted by the membership on July 28, 2026.
